Dana's golden boy Brock Lesnar |
Anyway, Brock is out and the bout between him and Junior Dos Santos is not going to happen. Dos Santos will have to fight Shane Carwin instead.
And this brings up the question: Why isn't Dana White just doing a Velasquez vs Dos Santos title fight?
This was the initial schedule before Dana decided to give Brock Lesnar another push and another undeserved try at getting the title. Yep, I understand - money talks here and it is all about the pay-per-views, but Brock is out now! The big PPV money is gone, so can we have our sport back, Dana?
The eternal contender Junior Dos Santos |
A few months ago things were well arranged and simple. The announced plan was very logical: Lesnar fights Velasquez in a title bout and then Junior Dos Santos faces the winner of that fight for the title. Cool, huh? Problem is, it didn't go that way, apparently.
The champion Cain Velasquez got injured and, instead of waiting for his well deserved title shot, Junior Dos Santos was arranged to fight the LOSER of Velasquez / Lesnar (which happened to be Brock Lesnar) so to be able to eventually get to a belt fight...
Maybe it was Velasquez's injury that forced JDS to seek an immediate payday in a non-title fight, who knows... But it looks like Junior just got the money that he needed - I'm sure that his paycheck for coaching in TUF was just as good, if not better, than any salary he's ever gotten. So now he can just sit and wait for Velasquez to recover, right?
Dana White |
Dana still makes him fight another contender in Shane Crwin. Talk about getting screwed.
Now, when Lesnar is having health issues, there is no longer any point in making Dos Santos fight another contender before he gets his shot at Cain Velasquez! The fucking shot that he earned way back in time...
JDS should wait for Cain Velasquez to recover and fight the champion.
Or does Junior have to fight 50 more guys before he gets his shot, Dana, you oily piece of shit?
